The History of the Stone
The History of the Stone
It takes its name from the Greek "Amethystos" which means sober hence its virtues to fight against dependency and addictions. Its color resembled that of wine cut with water. For the stone to act, it was necessary to put an amethyst in one's mouth or carry one on oneself.
Also called Bishop's Stone, it symbolizes holiness and wisdom. When they went on crusade, knights wore one.
