The History of the Stone
The History of the Stone
Lunar cycles play an important role in the environment, the Earth & the seas. In ancient times, the Greeks named the Moonstone: Hecatolite Stone in connection with Hecate, their goddess of the Moon. It was the symbol of fertility and passion and protected pregnant women. It was used to work on clairvoyance.
In 1970, the moonstone was made the official emblem of Florida in honor of the Kennedy Space Center, the site of the first launch of the Apollo 11 rocket to the moon in 1969.
