Handmade Mala Personalized on request

What is a Mala?

I create Malas for therapeutic purposes. They accompany you on your path, but here is their story:

Translated from Sanskrit as "garland of pearls", the necklace is made up of 108 pearls as well as a larger one (the pendant) representing a stupa or guru, which is the starting and ending point of prayers, mantras.

These beads are used to count the number of mantras recited during meditation.

The number 108 is the result of a mathematical operation aimed at multiplying 9 times 12, the number 9
symbolizing spiritual knowledge, compassion and devotion. On the 12th,
present at the heart of the Bible, represents the passage of time, but also the 12 pairs of ribs, 12 thoracic vertebrae and 12
energy meridians.

The 108 beads of the Mala are said to have healing virtues for the soul. However, the meaning of the number 108 can vary depending on the culture. For Buddhists, the Mala represents the 108 names of Buddha and the 108 tests accomplished by Buddha to
achieve enlightenment.
